the movie is set during the World War 2. and is in black and white.
the japanese men's behaviour was unacceptable. absolute no respect for themselves and the women, jap, chinese or korean. all were raped, and many died as a result.
innocent civilians were buried alive, shot to deaths, bombed. full of methods, i must say.
there were chickens who fled the country, back to their homes in Britain or smth. i dunno my history is bad (though some really stood up for the chinese when they were there.)
and of cos, at the end of the day, there is always a nice and rather good looking (as compared to the rest) Jap guy who is kind-hearted enough to let some people go by closing one eye or free them from their pain. and of cos, there is the love of his life. who was raped till she died too.
i know i know, my story-telling is bad. go watch the movie if you dare. have a tissue.
by the way, if you miss someone, give that someone a call. and if someone misses you and gives you a call, answer it, even if you are not really interested. i love POLITENESS. i hate LONELINESS.
