Friends
a literature review.
Formal definition: a person who is attached to another by fondness; a person who can give support to another.

Friends are people whom you can share your joys and woes with, and they go through thick and thin together.

Friends usually treat one another as an equal. However, there are some who treats their friends like someone of lower class than himself or herself. Instead of being there for them in happy and sad times, these people come when needed (needed as in when they need help. not we need help), when there is no need for our help, they disappear.

A tissue paper is something everyone will need at several points of time, be it for tears, sickness, etc. When needed, we look for it, use it and then dispose it. When there is no need for it, we forget about its existence. Insignificant as it seems, it is essential in our lives as it actually plays an important role for us, such as helping us stay hygienic? Wth. Hahaha. (Ng, 2009)

Have you been a tissue paper before?
Or have you been a tissue paper user before?
What about currently?

That being said, Lee (2009) argued that it is only a minority who are short-sighted and cares only about the present tend to behave like that. She also added that: "For most people, I believe that they want and look for long-term friendship instead of just using them for their own selfish purposes. Moreover, it is not beneficial in the long run as well." (Lee, 2009)
